THE CONDUCT- POEM

THE CONDUCT

Through this poem, I intend to share the thought that often it is said that words are powerful but as per my observations, I have sensed that silence is more powerful than the words and even more powerful than silence is the conduct of a person which indeed makes his existence immortal.

-       Daksha Sharma

Words are indeed powerful,
For they make the person immortal.

In absentia, words make a person’s presence felt,
And in his presence, they make his presence more articulate.

Right they are, who say that a person never dies if he is alive in the memory,
For we must understand that ours is a soulful existence which cannot be calculated in a century.

But more powerful than the words is the silence,
And those who understand your silence know your heart’s cadence.

However, it raises a pertinent question herein,
Those who can’t speak have a mortal existence it means.

The response unfolds itself in innumerous ways,
Like the Lotus blossoms fully in the sun’s rays.

And indicates from all possibilities,
That more than the words, the conduct has the gentilities.

Conduct includes one’s behavior, actions, intent and attitude,
And that is the reason they say;
It is not your aptitude but your attitude that decides your altitude.

Thus, the analogy is drawn with irreversibility,

That it is the Conduct which retrieves human existence with immortality.
